As a teacher I always dreaded the district-wide "Back to School" kickoff. I wanted to be in my classroom planning for the routines and procedures of the first week, setting up my centers and catching up with my colleagues on our summer vacations. I think I would have felt differently if 10 year old Dalton would have been my keynote speaker!
Not to mention, this kid had an amazing grasp on the concept of College and Career Readiness (Common Core) for 2008!
