This has been, and continues to be, at the heart of much of our dialogue surrounding key reform roadblocks such as compensating great teacher performance. It's often a lightning rod topic as teachers sometimes feel their motivations are under attack and political purists tend to corrupt the entire discussion. This was also a key theme in the critically acclaimed 2010, movie 'Waiting for Superman.'
